Discover how a sketchbook can become your most powerful creative tool. In this four‑week course, you’ll build a personal sketchbook practice through drawing, watercolor, collage, journaling, and close observation. Each session encourages exploration, play, and thoughtful reflection—helping you develop pages that feel alive, expressive, and uniquely yours. You’ll experiment with materials, respond to prompts, and learn how writing and image can work together to spark new ideas. Whether you’re an experienced artist looking to reconnect with process or someone just beginning to build a creative habit, this class offers a supportive space to slow down, notice more, and create with intention. Come ready to explore, discover, and fill your sketchbook with work that inspires your future practice.

Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop. A PDF copy of the supply list can be found in the workshop description. Carolyn will review supplies during the first session and can help you shop in the store if needed. There is also a class‑specific supply display that students are welcome to browse throughout the course.

A quick note about classroom etiquette: phones may absolutely be used for visual reference, but please silence calls and notifications. This is a focused, art-centered workshop, and we ask that conversations remain rooted in painting and creative exploration so that everyone can stay engaged and inspired.
