Albany County GOP Chairman Jim McGaughan started a petition to revive the Holiday Capital Lights in the Park at Washington Park.

The event ended in 2021 and would return as a fundraiser for the PAL if the city supports updates (infrastructure and operations).

For the first time, men can join the long-running women’s run virtually, helping support a race that promotes women’s sports and healthy eating.

The event draws around 3,000 participants downtown and offers a 10-week training program beginning (Mar. 23) with the race set for May 30.
