- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon, a fire at 1493 Hermance Road in Galway forced three residents to flee their home and caused one injury; the injured person was treated on scene (Red Cross later provided aid for shelter, food, and clothing). NewsChannel 13

- ➤ Tailored Tea in Latham will close on March 29, and Mallo’s in Troy will close on Jan. 23 due to a lease decision, while Build a Burger Pub in Colonie is offered for sale after 30 years of service+ each change marks a shift in the local dining scene. Times Union
- ➤ Marcella’s Appliance Center (a large family business) announced Wednesday it acquired Cocca’s Appliances in Albany. The acquisition is expected to expand its service offerings in the area. Spotlight News

- ➤ Pipe Sweat reunited for the first time in 30 years Saturday night at Sportsman’s Bowl in Schenectady, delivering a 60-minute set of classic rock covers and drawing fans from across the region. - ➤ A state audit found millions in funds for lead service line replacements went unused due to high admin costs statewide, yet Troy has replaced 550 pipes with Department of Health and federal ARPA dollars; officials plan to replace remaining pipes and offer free filters. WRGB
