- ➤ Rensselaer County Regional Chamber refreshed its branding with a shortened name, redesigned logo, and new color scheme after moving to a downtown Troy location. President Norris Pearson said the change aims to better connect local businesses and communities. WAMC

- ➤ The proposed Fair Pricing Act, sponsored by State Sen. Liz Krueger & Assemblywoman Chantel Jackson, will cap charges for 60 routine outpatient procedures at 150% Medicare rates. If passed, it is expected to save $213 million a year by narrowing cost gaps between doctors’ offices and hospital outpatient clinics. Times Union
- ➤ After last weekend’s snowfall left sidewalks blocked, residents in downtown Albany face difficulties crossing streets as the city placed snow at crosswalks to preserve parking spots. Mayor Dorcey Applyrs said the move was necessary due to limited space, while locals call for quicker clearing of walkways. Times Union

- ➤ UAlbany men’s track and field team won the Cornell Invite by a four-point margin on Saturday (155 to Cornell’s 151) at Barton Hall in Ithaca. Jacob Smith’s 800m win and six first-place finishes helped the team, which now prepares for the final meet before the America East Championship Feb. 20-21. University at Albany
- ➤ At Cornell Invite in Ithaca on Saturday, the UAlbany women’s sprinters improved their rankings as three athletes recorded top-10 marks, helping the Great Danes finish second behind Cornell's 174-point team. They earned four first-place finishes and now prepare for a final meet before the America East Championship in three weeks. University at Albany
- ➤ The University at Albany men's basketball team lost at home to UMBC, 65–68, at Broadview Center on Saturday, Jan. 31. UAlbany will face the Bryant Bulldogs on Thursday, Feb. 5, as coach Killings said discipline issues cost the game. University at Albany
- ➤ UAlbany’s women’s basketball team lost 55-46 in overtime last Saturday at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena when UMBC rallied in a scoreless extra period after UAlbany led for more than 28 minutes. University at Albany
