- ➤ On Saturday, Jan. 31, about 10,000 fans gathered at MVP Arena to watch Rascal Flatts perform a 90-minute set featuring hits such as 'My Wish' + 'Life is a Highway.' The band followed sets by Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane, marking a memorable country music evening. Times Union
- ➤ The New York State Museum will host a Galentine’s event on Feb. 13 offering mocktails, crafts, and exclusive exhibit access for friends, and a winter break two-day rock and fossil fair for kids where museum scientists will lead hands-on learning, all backed by state funding. WAMC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Lawmakers have introduced bills to ban timeout boxes in Salmon River schools after records showed a district built one and placed staff on leave. Investigations are underway and further review of state education rules is expected soon. Times Union
