- ➤ The Albany Police Athletic League held a nearly two-hour forum on Wednesday night at the Former College of Saint Rose campus to plan ways to expand youth sports with local leaders and educators. They noted that digital ads often miss families and high AAU fees can keep kids out. WRGB
- ➤ A ceremony was held at Albany City Hall on Wednesday, Mar. 4 to honor Reverend Jesse Jackson (a civil rights leader who died last month at 84), and Ilyasah Shabazz spoke about his global legacy. WRGB
- ➤ Albany will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its long-running St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Central and Lexington Avenues (a family friendly event featuring traditional pipe bands, Irish step dancers and floats). WRGB
