CRIME NEWS

  • Colonie Police responded to an incident at a private residence on Wedgewood Drive at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and maintained a heavy presence until the situation ended at 10:00 a.m.—roads were later opened for all traffic.  NewsChannel 13
  • The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested 27-year-old Issac Martinez of Halfmoon after a harassment complaint led police to say he violated a protection order on Thursday, and he now faces charges of aggravated family offense and criminal contempt while held at Saratoga County Jail.  WRGB
  • Troy police are investigating a stabbing that occurred just before noon at the Lion Factory Lofts on Second Avenue and 121st Street where officers treated a man with a puncture wound to his shoulder at a local hospital—authorities said they have located everyone involved.  WRGB
  • Troy Police responded to reports of an assault at 750 2nd Avenue on March 16 during a domestic dispute and found an adult male with a puncture wound to his shoulder—he was taken to a local hospital while detectives continued investigating the incident for possible charges.  NewsChannel 13

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents in several Capital Region villages will vote Tuesday, March 18 for mayor, trustee and justice positions with competitive mayoral races in South Glens Falls, Victory, Tannersville and Hoosick Falls while many candidates run unopposed; polling places are open from noon to 9 p.m.—locations include village halls and other designated sites.
