- ➤ The Albany County Legislature, led by the Women’s Legislative Caucus, donated professional clothing and feminine hygiene products to support residents at the homeless improvement program housed in a decommissioned jail wing. The donation, part of Women’s History Month, will help individuals secure employment—especially for women, officials said. WRGB

- ➤ On March 24, 23andMe filed for bankruptcy and said it would keep operating while planning to sell most of its assets— even as New York Attorney General Letitia James and Vermont Attorney General Clark urged customers to take steps to protect their genetic data. WRGB

- ➤ On Wednesday afternoon Albany Police found a man's body in the woods near Second Avenue and Boenau Street at around 4:00 p.m. and have launched an investigation into the incident. WRGB
- ➤ The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision suspended three officers from Mid-State and Marcy without pay in its ongoing probe into the death of Messiah Nantwi at Mid-State Correctional Facility—additional staff have been placed on leave as police and prosecutors work the case. - ➤ A loaded pistol found in Dave and Busters in 2021 led to the arrest of Guilderland teacher Akili‑Abdul Duncan, 53 — he did not have a state pistol permit and was taken in connection with a domestic-related incident last week. NewsChannel 13
- ➤ State Police in Brunswick arrested 39-year-old Joshua Delgado of Troy on March 25 after a cyber tip led to a search warrant at his home—Delgado faces charges of promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child and was remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility following his arraignment at Troy City Court. - ➤ New York's Caring Gene program offers free tuition, books and fee coverage for state residents entering healthcare fields at around 20 colleges including Maria College and Russell Sage; students must commit to working in New York for three years after graduation. The federally funded initiative provides $694 million through March 2027 and has received over 1,800 inquiries with 276 students already enrolled. WRGB
