A Watervliet man, identified as Jahnye Griffin, 21, was charged with attempted murder after he attacked an adult man in Troy on March 24, leaving the victim seriously injured and taking his cell phone—police say they linked the suspect and victim through online contact.

Devaughn Hall (32) from Cohoes was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison for two burglaries in which he stole more than $50,000 worth of valuables, with police finding some stolen items during a February home search.

On May 10 and 11 the City of Albany will host the 77th Annual Tulip Festival in Washington Park with free admission for all.
