- ➤ Wynantskill teachers rallied Saturday in support of a proposed merger with Troy schools as they urged district leaders to review the plan for strengthening local education. WRGB
- ➤ Hudson Valley Community College hosted its 12th annual Girls in STEM Conference to boost interest in science, technology, engineering, and math careers among young girls (grades 4-8) on campus. The free event provided interactive learning experiences to inspire future STEM leaders. WRGB
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The University at Albany women's rowing team raced in Sarasota 2K at Nathan Benderson Park in Florida, where the varsity eight finished second, the second varsity eight fourth, and the varsity four seventh. They will next compete at the Knecht Cup Regatta on April 11-12 in Pennsauken, N.J. University at Albany
- ➤ UAlbany women's lacrosse beat Binghamton 12-11 in overtime Saturday afternoon at John Fallon Field. Paisley Cook netted the game-winner with 34 seconds left, and the team will host Boston College Monday at 3:00 p.m. University at Albany
- ➤ The UAlbany men's lacrosse team beat UMass Lowell 13-7 on Saturday at Cushing Field in Lowell, Mass to move to a 3-0 record in America East play. They will face Binghamton next Saturday at Casey Stadium (2:00 p.m.). University at Albany
