Crews fought a house fire on Sererson Ave early Thursday morning in Altamont and used about 30,000 gallons of water to contain the blaze; multiple nearby fire departments provided mutual aid.

A brush fire near Halfmoon Drive in Guilderland is contained (firefighters still monitor the area), causing Route 146 traffic to be reduced to one lane.

Some homes nearby were evacuated while those along Route 146 were not.
