- ➤ Peaches Café in Stuyvesant Plaza will reopen on April 21 at 8 a.m. after closing in early January for two months of renovations— it will unveil updated interior and exterior changes. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ Representatives from Cardona’s Market and Siena Men’s Basketball Head Coach Gerry McNamara presented a $1,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capital Area (raised from sales of the G-Mac sandwich) as part of an ongoing effort to support local community initiatives. WRGB

- ➤ Joseph Munafo, 62, was indicted by an Albany County grand jury for secretly filming a victim under their clothing 11 times in 2023 at several locations in Albany and Colonie and was arraigned Tuesday morning before Judge Roger McDonough—records show he turned himself in to police in January after a July incident. - ➤ Rui Li, the new associate dean and professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Sustainability, talked about his love for maps and the growing role of geospatial technology in a recent interview. - ➤ Gov. Hochul held a press conference Monday in Manhattan to call for changes to state pretrial discovery rules—data showed a 26% rise in domestic violence case dismissals in New York City. She said the amendments would protect victims and ensure that defendants get needed evidence before trial. Times Union
- ➤ A Marist Poll from April 3rd to 9th showed that only 39% of New Yorkers approved of Governor Kathy Hochul’s performance while 46% disapproved and 57% opposed her re-election bid—many respondents also reported that the state is unaffordable and its economy is worsening. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ Attorney General Letitia James announced a settlement with landlords Greg and John Karian who illegally denied housing to low-income renters in the Capital Region. The Karians—owning 24 rental units—must limit late fees to 5% of monthly rent or $50, rent at least three units to voucher users, complete anti-discrimination training, and face penalty fees if they fail to comply. - ➤ Attorney General Letitia James said her office stopped Greg and John Karian and their spouses from illegally denying low-income renters access to 24 rental units in Glenmont, Albany and Troy after they posted online listings that excluded Section 8 voucher users—under the settlement the landlords must reserve three units for voucher applicants, renew leases for at least one year, attend anti-discrimination training, cap late fees at 5% or $50, and pay penalties.
