- ➤ On Saturday, police responded around 3:45 a.m. to a call at a residence on Western Avenue near Cortland Place and found a 28-year-old man with a stab wound to his arm who was treated on scene and sent to Albany Medical Center, while 31-year-old Xioma Farez (charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon) was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court (police said she and the victim knew each other). - ➤ Troy Police responded to a report of shots fired on Northern Drive near 8th Avenue on Sunday night—by the time officers arrived the suspect had left—and no victims were identified. NewsChannel 13
- ➤ Colonie police arrested 34-year-old Aaron Woolley after he assaulted a 78-year-old woman at Colonie Center on April 15, and off-duty Sergeant Erik Nielsen later recognized him at Northway Mall—Woolley is now in custody while the victim received hospital care. WRGB
- ➤ Troy Police are investigating a reported assault at a residence on 3rd Street between Madison Street and Monroe Streets that left one man seriously injured, and a suspect fled the scene. WRGB
- ➤ Troy Police said they launched a homicide investigation into a stabbing in a Troy home at 373 Third Street after a 47-year-old man died from stab wounds sustained during an altercation Monday morning — the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. ABC NEWS 10
