- ➤ The Town of Colonie approved a new Chick-fil-A at the former Brick House site in Latham Farms Plaza on Tuesday. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant on a 2.5-acre parcel features a dual-lane drive-thru and outdoor seating while construction will begin after permits are issued—local workers will soon be hired for 120 to 140 positions. - ➤ Sherrod Craft had his 50-years-to-life murder conviction vacated at the Albany County Judicial Center on April 23rd after spending over 24 years in prison for a 2001 shooting that killed a teenager—he will be sentenced in June for an attempted assault charge and is set for release on Thursday. - ➤ State Police arrested Billy G. Cassell III at 9 a.m. Thursday in South Glens Falls in connection with an officer-involved shooting on April 23 (he was arraigned at Moreau Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail without bail while facing charges for a weapon, menacing a police officer, fleeing a police officer, mischief and reckless endangerment), and the vehicle's passenger Anthony J. Lebrun, 59, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (drugs found during questioning). WRGB
- ➤ A suspect shot by a state trooper in South Glens Falls was arrested after fleeing in a car, crashing into a home and running on foot; Billy Cassell III (45) faced charges including weapon possession, menacing a police officer, fleeing in a vehicle, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, while another person was also taken into custody for a drug offense. - ➤ Ray Richardson, 57, was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a five-year supervision term on Wednesday after he robbed a Walgreens at 41 Holland Avenue on October 2 by using a butcher knife. ABC NEWS 10
