- ➤ The Adirondack Thunder will host a fundraiser for firefighter Micki Guy, who fell from a truck and is recovering at Albany Medical Center — a 50-50 drawing and Chuck a Puck event will occur during Game 5 on Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at Harding Mazzotti Arena. NewsChannel 13

- ➤ The Schuyler Heights Fire Company (serving Colonie and Watervliet) announced Monday that it will seek permission from the New York State Supreme Court and Attorney General to close on May 17 after a dispute with district commissioners. WAMC
- ➤ Today, 124 law enforcement officers, prosecutors + advocates gathered at the Albany Capital Center to be honored for their efforts in stopping drunk and drugged driving. Award winners were nominated for going above and beyond to keep roads safe. NewsChannel 13
- ➤ DASNY announced today that over $5.5m will support the Albany Jewish Community Center’s expansion and renovation, which includes facility upgrades (improved pools, enhanced safety, and expanded programs) to boost community wellness. NewsChannel 13

- ➤ University at Albany baseball players Dylan Banner and Brian Cadieux were named America East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
