- ➤ Syaira Liverpool, an Albany native and Howard University graduate, was crowned the 2026 Tulip Queen on Saturday, May 9 in Albany and is excited to serve her community while pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. Liverpool said her role models in the Tulip Court will inspire local initiatives. WRGB

- ➤ The UAlbany women's rowing team had a strong weekend at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River (Pennsauken) where the Varsity Eight advanced to the Bergman Trophy Grand Final and the Second Varsity Eight won the Petit-Final. University at Albany
