- ➤ About 30 UAlbany undergraduates spent their semester learning to use artificial intelligence for weather prediction—by combining lectures with lab work that built a neural network model for forecasting El Niño and La Niña events. - ➤ UAlbany graduate students in I-O psychology partnered with the Regional Food Bank to run job analyses and offer science-backed recommendations—updating five job descriptions to better match the work employees perform. - ➤ Lawmakers, formerly incarcerated mothers, and mothers of incarcerated children gathered at the Capitol on May 13 to rally for sentencing reform legislation — including the Second Look Act and Earned Time Act — to reduce family separation. - ➤ Since October 2024, Albany drivers have received over 100,000 school zone speeding tickets, with those going 10 mph over the 20 mph limit receiving a $50 fine.
