- ➤ Troy announced the Lansingburgh Public Art Project for 2026 to feature artwork along 2nd Avenue between 115th and 117th streets. - ➤ Kevin Warsh (Albany native and Shaker graduate) was confirmed by the Senate as the new Federal Reserve Chair and he is expected to support lower interest rates amid rising inflation. WRGB
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ St. Peter’s Hospital College of Nursing will relocate from the Maria College campus in December when Maria College uses the leased space for its future programming. The school’s leadership is reviewing relocation options and expects more details within the next 30 to 60 days. WRGB
- ➤ School districts voted on their budgets Tuesday amid state talks over whether foundation aid will rise by 1% or 2%; officials said a 1% increase might not cover rising costs + districts may depend more on local taxes to avoid cutting programs. WAMC

- ➤ Gov. Hochul and the FIFA 2026 NYNJ Host Committee announced upgrades to the official shuttle bus service, cutting roundtrip fares from $80 to $20 and expanding capacity to 18,000 seats — 20% reserved for state residents — to ease travel to future World Cup matches. WRGB
- ➤ Schuyler Heights Fire Company (serving 1,800 residents over 70 years between Watervliet and Siena University) is battling a planned shutdown. It resumed gear last night after inactivity since April 25 and will hold a private meeting Saturday to decide its future. WRGB
