- ➤ Albany held its Memorial Day parade on May 26 along a new route that began at Central and Lexington avenues and ended at Washington Avenue at Lafayette Park for a ceremony. Grand Marshals John and Judith Grassia and Jill and Jim Frankoski led the parade as they honored their lost family members who died in a border helicopter crash while serving with the National Guard — a poignant tribute for the community. - ➤ A 21-year-old man died after his car crashed just before 10:15 a.m. on Sunday morning in front of the Schodack Indoor Flea Market on Route 9—investigators said the roadway was closed for about three hours while the driver and his passenger were taken to Albany Medical Center in critical condition.
