- ➤ The Asian Arts New York Eastern Music Ensemble will perform at Empire State Plaza today as part of the AANHPI Art and Cultural Festival. The group blends Asian folk music with Western classical styles and features instruments like the xiao and pipa. WAMC

- ➤ UAlbany’s College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering held a free two-week hands-on program for college students, recent graduates and career seekers in energy storage and clean energy from May 11 to May 22 at the NY Creates Albany NanoTech Complex and its Uptown campus labs. - ➤ Governor Hochul announced that applications for the Excelsior Scholarship for eligible full-time students starting the 2026-27 academic year are now open — students may attend SUNY, CUNY or participating private colleges tuition-free, with applications due by Aug. 31. WRGB
