GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Menands Fire Department restored all its equipment by 10:58 a.m. on May 30 and resumed normal call response after last week’s fire. The department still uses backup gear from local fire districts (Schuyler Heights and Shaker Road-Loudonville) as it works to fully recover. NewsChannel 13
- ➤ Menands Fire Department returned to service on Saturday, May 30 after a fire seriously damaged its station and equipment (repairs are underway) and officials said operations will continue as repair work progresses. WRGB
