COMMUNITY NEWS

  • A pride flag was raised at City Hall in Albany today to honor local diversity and inclusion. City leaders and residents attended the ceremony +expressing unity+ as part of a community celebration.  WRGB

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Albany City School District’s superintendent responded to a circulating video that appears to show federal agents detaining a man. The school official said the district is reviewing the video to ensure a safe environment for its students.  WRGB

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents of Kinderhook attended a town meeting Monday night to debate noise complaints coming from OK Social (a Route 9 restaurant and live music venue) as some called for a noise ordinance while others defended its role in the town's outdoor life.  WRGB

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Population Health Innovation Summit will address social isolation as a public health issue and is set for Thursday at Albany Capital Center (7:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m.). Organizers plan to screen a loneliness documentary and host panels on brain health and community connection.  WRGB
