- ➤ On May 11, an Albany family on Jennings Drive was awakened by gunfire that injured Ebeny Kornegay from shattered glass—leaving her too frightened to remain and asking the housing authority for a new home while police continue their investigation with no arrest made. NewsChannel 13
- ➤ Dennis P. Farrell, 46, of Colonie was charged with multiple felonies including burglary with criminal intent + criminal possession of a weapon after police responded at 1 p.m. on Sunday to a domestic disturbance call on Van Heusen Street and ended an hours-long standoff just after 8 p.m. when they recovered an illegal Glock handgun from the residence. - ➤ A Ballston Spa man accused of driving on drugs crashed into a state trooper's vehicle just after 9 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 9P in Malta when he failed to yield the right-of-way—Denis R. Collingwood, 26, received an appearance ticket and the trooper was treated at Malta Med and released. NewsChannel 13

- ➤ Cities and towns across the Capital Region have announced free summer concert lineups for 2025. Albany’s Alive at Five concert series runs every Thursday from 5 p.m.—8 p.m. at Tricentennial Park while other communities schedule free shows featuring local and regional artists. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ Kathryn Starbuck helped fight for women's rights and will be honored at a luncheon later this month—she pushed Albany Law School to allow women and was reported to throw eggs at protests. Times Union
- ➤ The Pride Center of the Capital Region will host the Capital Pride Parade + Festival on Sunday in Albany, with the parade running from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. along major streets while organizers report several road closures to ensure pedestrian safety + the festival in Washington Park will feature live entertainment and over 20 food vendors. - ➤ New York will regulate buy now, pay later lenders such as Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm and PayPal with a law that imposes licensing and oversight requirements. Gov. Hochul and lawmakers approved the measure as part of the state budget and it will take effect 180 days after the Department of Financial Services issues regulations — the new rules include caps on loan amounts per customer —. - ➤ Paul Bailie, an Iraq War veteran from Cohoes, was promoted to colonel and assumed command of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade at the Army Flight Facility in Latham on June 2, replacing Col. Jason Lefton. Maj. Gen. Jack James praised Bailie’s leadership — he now leads 1,050 soldiers — as he starts his new command. Times Union
