  • The Capital District Transportation Authority opened a public historical exhibit at the Joseph L.   • On Sunday, Albany’s Capital Region Pride Parade featured a unique wedding vow renewal ceremony in Washington Park as Mayor Kathy Sheehan officiated for a dozen couples. The parade was followed by a festival with live music and vendors — celebrating local love and community spirit.  ABC NEWS 10

  • Commissioner Jeanette Moy said summer concerts will return & The Egg is set for upgrades as part of OGS projects in Albany. The agency supports state and local government operations through new facilities and free entertainment programs for staff and families.  WAMC

HEALTH NEWS

  • More than a thousand participants gathered at the University at Albany for the Capital Region Heart Walk and Run, with almost 1,500 walkers and runners—including heart disease survivors—taking part in a 5K run and 2-mile walk. The event raised $450,000 toward a $650,000 goal for heart research and honored 15-year-old Darin Vail, a survivor of four open-heart surgeries who now uses a pacemaker.  WRGB
  • Carly Kempf, who was 22, died on Feb. 13 after a ten year battle with anorexia that weakened her body. Her parents claim the medical system + state guardianship laws failed her by not providing proper care when she refused treatment.  Times Union
