- ➤ An Albany man was sentenced to 18 years in state prison — including 5 years of post-release supervision — for a razor attack that seriously injured a victim on March 4 after a dispute, and he pleaded guilty after being captured by Albany Police. WRGB
- ➤ Albany police charged three men and a 16-year-old boy with multiple crimes tied to the death of 24-year-old Jamier Allen, found shot on March 26 in a wooded area in the South End after he was reported missing earlier this year — suspect Jeyson Guerrero faces murder, weapon, conspiracy and arson charges connected to a vehicle fire near Delaware Avenue. - ➤ New York's highest court upheld a second-degree murder charge against former state trooper Christopher Baldner, who in December rammed his cruiser into an 11-year-old girl's family's vehicle during a high-speed pursuit on the Thruway in Ulster County—finding that the evidence showed he acted with depraved indifference to human life—and his case will now proceed to trial.
