- ➤ Construction is complete on the new 60-unit Mont Pleasant apartment complex in the Crane Street development — the project will soon provide affordable housing for local residents. The Daily Gazette
- ➤ Market 32 and Price Chopper launched a summer food drive on June 15th to help families lose access to school meal programs. Customers can buy a $10 bag with pasta, peanut butter, chicken noodle soup, tuna, kidney beans, and chunk chicken — each store will donate the bags to a local food pantry — and the drive will run until July 5. - ➤ A Saratoga County Sheriff’s sergeant shared boat safety tips on Sunday after a boat carrying six people and a dog capsized last Wednesday on Saratoga Lake—two passing boats and a fire boat rescued everyone as Kyne reminded boaters to watch no wake areas and stay alert. ABC NEWS 10

- ➤ An 18-year-old student was arrested at Schenectady High School on June 13 for bringing a firearm to campus and was released on a $50,000 bond Saturday — now facing charges for criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and on school grounds. WRGB

- ➤ Hudson Valley Community College named Michael Brophy as its new president and he will begin his term on August 1; he boosted enrollment and managed tuition efficiently at Hilbert College + worked at other local institutions.
