- ➤ Police officers from Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Albany joined for the 2025 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, carrying the torch from Veterans Park to Academy Park around lunchtime on Wednesday—supporting more than 48,000 athletes statewide. Tomorrow, the State Summer Games will begin with opening ceremonies at Ithaca College—adding a new chapter to the region’s ongoing sports events. WRGB

- ➤ Frederick Hollingshed, 58, was found guilty of unemployment fraud after using his own identity and a stolen one to claim $16,196 in benefits during the COVID 19 emergency—sentencing is set for July 24. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ Police responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. to a call of a shooting at a Grafton home on South Road—County Rt. 85 where several individuals were wounded and a suspect was arrested following a brief standoff; a press conference is scheduled later this morning to provide more updates. WRGB
