ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Early Saturday at 5:35 a.m., the Boght Community Fire District in North Colonie battled a deep underground fire at the landfill on Arrowhead Lane and contained it in under four hours with help from multiple volunteer departments and county fire coordinators — agencies from Albany and Saratoga counties assisted in the effort. - ➤ A fire broke out Saturday evening at the hay barns of McMahons of Saratoga Thoroughbreds in Saratoga Springs causing significant property damage—owner Jane McMahon said no horses or crew were hurt and plans for rebuilding are underway while hay is being baled for a new storage barn. WRGB

- ➤ Troy police responded shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday night to a disturbance call and found a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen inside a home on 6th Avenue near Glen Avenue — he was taken to a hospital while investigators looked into the incident as isolated. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ At around 3:40 p.m., five juveniles aged 10 to 13 were arrested on North Pearl Street outside a Subway when one reportedly fired a flare gun upward — police said two patrons were assaulted with one sustaining scrapes. WRGB
- ➤ After several shootings injured 10 people — including 7 juveniles — and a house fire was caused by a flare gun this weekend, Ta-Sean Murdock, executive director of the Center for Law and Justice, said Albany is facing a moral crisis and needs stronger community collaborations. WAMC
- ➤ A man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen sustained serious injuries after a shooting on 6th Avenue in Troy Sunday just before 6 p.m.—he is now being treated at a local hospital as patrol officers and detectives secure the area and investigate the incident. WRGB

- ➤ Nearly 5,000 people gathered in Albany at MVP Arena for a nationwide Jehovah's Witness convention focused on 'Pure Worship.' The weekend-long event started on Friday and ended on Sunday — 68 congregations from New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont took part as speakers discussed the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. WRGB
