  • The Regional Food Bank in Latham is facing rising hunger as it joins with Keeler Honda for a Fuel the Community food drive. The dealership made a corporate donation and pledged to donate five food items for every test drive taken + families can also donate non-perishable items daily at 965 Albany Shaker Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  WRGB

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On July 18 at 12:36 p.m. a two-car collision on North Shore Road in Edinburg injured five people—none sustained life-threatening injuries—and responders from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office with fire and EMS agencies closed the road to clear the scene.  Times Union

CRIME NEWS

  • A Schenectady man named Joseph Munafo, 61, pleaded guilty on July 19 to two counts of unlawful surveillance after he took over 1,000 photos and videos of a coworker without her consent at the Post Office on Karner Road—he will be sentenced on Sept. 5 and could face two to six years in prison.  Spotlight News
  • A Green Island man was arrested on July 18 for a domestic dispute on Albany Avenue after a multi-agency search in Guilderland led to his vehicle being found—he now faces charges including second-degree strangulation, aggravated family offense, unlawful imprisonment and third-degree assault.  WRGB
  • An Albany woman was charged Saturday after a stabbing on Lexington Avenue near First Street at about 4:55 a.m. when a 36-year-old woman with severe stab wounds was taken to Albany Medical Center in critical but stable condition—she faces charges of attempted murder 2nd, assault 2nd, and criminal possession of a weapon 4th.  WRGB

HEALTH NEWS

  • A Vermont resident confirmed with measles visited the emergency departments at Albany Medical Center on July 16 and at Saratoga Hospital on July 14, potentially exposing patients to the virus. The hospitals are following safety protocols and advising anyone affected to contact them immediately — while the Health Department urges everyone to check their MMR vaccination status.  Times Union
