- ➤ A community group started a monthly free lunch at Jennings Landing along the Hudson River to help Albany’s unhoused people, and it has been meeting with community volunteers to offer food and support. - ➤ The owners of Colonie Center filed a lawsuit in state Supreme Court to lower the town's tax assessment from $39.5 million to $3.9 million — claiming the mall is valued at only 10 percent of its current assessment — as foreclosure proceedings continue on its $110 million mortgage. Times Union

- ➤ Cohoes Public Library at 18 Mohawk Street will host its second comic con this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — the event will include cosplay, comic book dealers, board games and autograph sessions with artists like John Hebert, Bill Anderson and Aaron Schwartz — and it will suggest a $1 donation with raffles and a silent auction. - ➤ Governor Kathy Hochul reminded school districts to submit plans for a new cellphone ban on school grounds that restricts device use during school hours starting this fall.
