- ➤ Today, a film crew began shooting a historical drama downtown plus parking restrictions affect Lodge Street from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Broadway between Pine and State Streets from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. City officials and police are working with local contractors to manage the film shoot plus the production is expected to boost local business. - ➤ Tipsy Moose Tap and Tavern plans to open its fourth location in Delmar with renovations at the former 333 Café site resuming this year—aiming to welcome patrons with an outdoor patio and second-floor deck before the end of 2025. Owners Brendan Brader and Rob Tario said the new location will offer the chain's familiar comfort food and rotating draft list that have made its other sites neighborhood favorites. Spotlight News

- ➤ A Schenectady woman said Broadway Cars in Albany scammed her on June 2nd when she traded her 2015 Ford Escape and $11,000 in cash for a used 2017 Infiniti that soon would not start properly, and the dealership did not pay off the $3,600 lien on her old car — leaving her with a broken car and a damaged credit score. - ➤ Colonie police charged 54-year-old William Nevins with second-degree grand larceny after he misappropriated more than $120,000 from the Latham Soccer Club checking account for personal purchases between September 2017 and May 2022—Nevins was arraigned on July 24 and released as the investigation continues.
