- ➤ Road rage incidents in the Capital Region have increased, with drivers engaging in shootings and assaults near busy intersections, and state police have publicized recent arrests — including a case in Halfmoon — to deter further violence amid concerns that a broader mental health crisis is fueling these actions. - ➤ A Mechanicville man, 61, allegedly attacked a man with a machete on Sunday night at Park Plaza where the victim got serious cuts and was treated at Albany Medical Center; police later arrested him at his home and charged him with felony assault and other offenses (criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, menacing) (he now awaits further court dates). - ➤ Kyle Crayon, 33, was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence after he allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Daval Byramas in the neck around 10 p.m. on July 26 outside 49 Ontario St.—he pleaded not guilty and was sent to county jail—as investigators continue gathering evidence.
