A 17-year-old from Albany was charged with attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm and assault after he shot a victim in the head and fired at a vehicle during a shooting on Old Hickory Drive on Friday, July 25 at about 2:00 p.m.—authorities say he is held at a juvenile secure detention facility.

Police in Cohoes responded to an incident yesterday near Main Street and Remsen Street when a person inside shot at state troopers who then returned fire; officials said no troopers were injured and there is no public threat as the investigation continues.
