- ➤ A man from Maine was arrested in Guilderland on Sunday at 2:09 p.m. after troopers stopped his car and found a loaded handgun plus he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and other traffic violations, and remanded to county jail. WRGB
- ➤ Police arrested two Albany residents on Tuesday after a traffic stop on I-787 at 9:10 p.m. revealed a loaded handgun and illegal cannabis, and the suspects now face charges for possessing both a weapon and controlled substances. WRGB

- ➤ Gov. Kathy Hochul allocated $200 million to revitalize downtown Albany after 700 locals attended a workshop where planning expert Ben Margolis warned the city is falling behind with too few homes and safe public spaces. The funds are part of a $400 million plan that includes $150 million for cultural projects and up to $40 million for planning work on Interstate 787—efforts meant to unlock Albany's potential. - ➤ The Albany Community Police Review Board—tasked with investigating police complaints for over 20 years—clashes with City Council over oversight and staffing as the board says the council’s 2024 integration plan hurt its independence.
