- ➤ Albany police responded to a report of a person with a gun near Washington Avenue and Ontario Street at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday and arrested 36-year-old Sean Brown Jr.—he now faces charges for possessing a loaded handgun, cocaine, and obstructing governmental administration. NewsChannel 13

- ➤ On Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, the Flotsam River Circus performed at Riverfront Park in Rensselaer — honoring the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal with acts such as sword swallowing and juggling — delighting the local audience. The troupe will continue its tour down the Hudson River — scheduled for upcoming stops in Hudson, Saugerties, Kingston, and Poughkeepsie — before its final show in New York City on Sept. 14.
