- ➤ Congress passed new 401(k) rules that take effect next month, requiring workers over 50 to direct extra catch-up savings to a Roth account if they earn $150000+; experts advise employees to check with HR as plan amendments are expected soon. Times Union
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ UAlbany men’s basketball lost to Columbia 93—65 after a close first half gave way to Columbia’s dominant second half at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium. The team will face Yale on Dec. 10 at 4:30 p.m. University at Albany
- ➤ The Great Danes completed the Crowell Invitational at Gillis Field House in West Point on Saturday as several first-time collegiate competitors made debuts (freshman Quillar Baidy won his first race) and the team will return to action on January 16. University at Albany
- ➤ Local mourners filled the Siena University UHY Center Sunday to honor lacrosse coach Liam Gleason, who died after a fall this past weekend. His warm spirit and organ donor pledge (saving lives through his legacy) continue to inspire the local lacrosse community. WRGB
