- ➤ On Saturday, Dec. 13, the 20th annual Santa Speedo Sprint took place on Lark Street where over 360 runners in fun costumes raced 800 meters to support the local Damien Center and HIV/AIDS program; the event drew 1,700 spectators and raised $32,000+. Times Union
- ➤ The Times Union Capital Region Gives awards winners were honored on Friday at a reception at the Hearst Media Center in Colonie — the honorees include groups such as the Albany Guardian Society and Animal Protective Foundation, recognizing outstanding community service. Times Union

- ➤ Albany Med Health System updated visitation guidelines today at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, and Saratoga Hospital to limit seasonal respiratory virus spread by restricting visits for children under 12 and anyone with flu-like symptoms while allowing only two visitors per patient.
