- ➤ National Grid employees delivered truckloads of presents yesterday to Hope 7—a nonprofit supporting families on Troy’s East Side and in Wynantskill. The fully wrapped gifts, 15 to 20 per child, will head to seven families following a Thanksgiving food drive. WRGB

- ➤ Upgraded Points released a study using Economic Policy Institute data that finds Albany region households need nearly double the median income to cover basic living expenses with the 50/30/20 rule (50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings). Only four metro areas have incomes high enough for single adults. Times Union
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ More than 1,100 St. Clare’s pensioners were awarded $54 million by a jury Friday after former officials breached their duties. Experts say the payout may take months as the Albany Catholic Diocese, now in bankruptcy, faces a hearing today at 9:30 a.m. at the Schenectady County Courthouse. WRGB

- ➤ Rear Adm. MaryEtta Nolan of Greenfield Center became the first woman to lead the New York Naval Militia at a ceremony last month at the Military and Naval Affairs headquarters in Latham, replacing Rear Adm. Michael Perry after 35 years of service. Times Union
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Hospitals in the Albany Med Health System have updated visitor rules due to a rise in respiratory viruses — visitors are limited to two per patient, children under 12 are not allowed, and anyone with flu-like symptoms must stay home. NewsChannel 13
