About this event

Level: All. Temperature: Not Hot In Yin Yoga, postures are held from two to five minutes to allow you to put moderate stress on the deeper, connective tissues- tendons, fascia and ligaments. The three principles of Yin Yoga are to come into the pose to an appropriate depth; resolve to remain still, and to hold the pose for time. This all combines to allow the muscles to remain inactive, cool and quiet. Even though Yin is a class where you hold poses for a long time, it is not to be confused with Restorative yoga which is generally relaxing and gentle in nature. Yin Yoga is a physically challenging practice designed to take you outside your comfort zone while allowing you to practice with intention and attention.
