- ➤ Construction for a new 163,000-square-foot Costco and a cancer treatment center next to Crossgates Mall is ongoing in Guilderland. Two concrete elevator shafts for the cancer center were built on Aug. 12—delays since work began in March have pushed the store's opening to an undetermined date while road and site improvements are set to begin in the next 30 to 60 days. - ➤ In Troy, the SNUG program uses social workers and outreach teams to fight gun violence by reaching young people in their own neighborhoods—participant Zaequan Anderson said the program helped him change his life and work two jobs. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ A Schenectady man pleaded guilty to a drug charge on Tuesday—Keith Edmonds, 30, admitted he had 425 pills meant for sale and sold over 1,300 pills in the Capital Region between October and March, and he will be sentenced on December 11. ABC NEWS 10
- ➤ Keith Edmonds, 30, of Schenectady pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute by admitting he held 425 pills on April 24 and sold over 1,300 pills from October to March—his sentencing on December 11 may bring 5 to 40 years in prison plus 4 years to life on parole, authorities said.
